Established in December 1991, Tommy’s Restaurant and Lounge was one of the first fine-casual restaurants west of Wichita's “Big Ditch." Amazingly enough, The Pavilion Square Shopping Center was constructed where a dairy farm once existed. 21st Street North was a two-lane road and North Tyler was only a dirt road. Today the 21st and North Tyler Road intersection is vastly different. To begin with, your movie experience could start with a digital screen that is six stories high. The IMAX theater at the west Wichita’s Warren Theatre has been a great addition to our area.
 For two decades, Tommy's Restaurant and Lounge has been owned and operated by Tommy D'Annunzio. Tommy’s 20 years of success has resulted from the passions for service and quality by both Tommy and his family. In February of 2011, Michael Redick was able to purchase Tommy’s. “It was explained to me that I did not just buy a family owned restaurant but a restaurant with a family,” notes Michael Redick. “I must say, the transition has gone great and the staff is very excited about the new ideas and changes that are planned for Tommy’s.”
Tommy's has always been known for the best prime rib in town! We serve USDA choice beef which is aged for tenderness and cooked to perfection. Tommy’s has always done an outstanding job with beef and Mike Martinez, our Chef, is currently focusing on seafood. We have already begun preparing our dishes with healthier methods of cooking. Furthermore, we will continue to bring in local product produced and made in the Wichita area. We will serve local produce as the seasons permit. Michael’s goal is to purchase product that has to travel less than 60 miles to get here.
 Both our lunch and dinner menus feature something to please everyone’s taste and both menus are now available online. It is the atmosphere at Tommy’s Restaurant and Lounge that draws people here. It has always been a go-to place for special events, but Tommy's is also a great location for everyday occasions. A family can enjoy a great dining experience in an atmosphere that allows for conversation. This restaurant was built for families, and to celebrate that fact we are promoting a kid’s menu that is unbeatable.
The lounge also provides a unique experience. The lounge side has that supper club feel that all ages come to enjoy. We have recently begun a new wine list and have had a variety of cocktail specials. We provide DJ music on Fridays and Saturdays, accompanied by an enjoyable dance floor.
